DUCKS UNLIMITED

Ducks Unlimited’s “Illinois conservation program has restored and enhanced nearly 70,000 acres of wetlands and adjacent habitat.” The projects are “designed to maximize the amount and quality of migration, breeding and wintering waterfowl habitats as well as improve conditions for waterfowl production.” The organization has undertaken a variety of local projects, including most recently in the Shawnee National Forest.
